We’re famous!
We both agree that our wedding day was full of smiles and because we took lots of photos for the entire day, our jaw was kinda stiff at the end of the night and we thought that’s the closest we’d ever get from being famous (you know.. being surrounded by flashlights and all).
Well that’s not it. We have lots of beautiful photos done by Stuart from Don Wood Photography and one of them made it to their front shop display. We were tipped off by Jimmy who happened to drive past the shop recently. Curious, we drove past the shop tonight and sure enough a large picture of us on our wedding day is hanging on the front shop display. We were so excited that we decided to pull over and took some photos and relived the moment of our wedding day.
We certainly didn’t expect that our photo would be seen by hundreds of people driving past Stoney Creek Rd every day. That makes us quite famous (at least around Kingsgrove area).
On top of that, a couple of our pre-wedding photos are also being showcased at Weddingku.com, an Indonesian wedding website. Thanks Eddie!!

Wedding posts roundup
Thursday, 20 September 2007
By this time all our relatives and friends from interstate and overseas have arrived in Sydney. We had lunch at Java Restaurant (no need for explanation here) and there were so much food that we had to take home 6 containers of food. Can’t pick a worse time for having a feast. Even the girls couldn’t resist it…stuff the diet!
Then in the evening the bridal party gathered at Star City where we stayed the night. We were very impressed with the apartment. The guys’ and girls’ room are identical except for the plasma TV in guys’ room
Closer to midnight we strolled down to Coles to buy ingredients for the next day’s breakfast and lunch. Luckily Cafe 22 was still open and we were able to grab a quick espresso hit. We decided to prepare toast for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch.
Back in the apartment we had a quick briefing for the bridal party (the girls did their nails at the same time) and a crash course in ballroom dancing followed by prayer together. Once we were back in our room, Ken prepared his speech while I prepared mine. It was 2:30am and we knew we had to get some sleep.

The boys woke up at 7.30am and had nutella on toast for breakfast. Our first task for the day was to pick up the hand bouquets and flower arrangements for the main table at Ying’s place and drop them off at Doltone House. On our way to Maroubra we were told that the flowers won’t be available until 9:30 am so we decided to stop by at Allpress Coffee in Rosebery and get our morning dose of espresso.
We arrived at Doltone House at 10:30am and was told that the guest list didn’t add up. After 20 minutes of sorting out the guest list Ken and I literally ran back to our room as fast as we could to get ready. Back in the hotel room Hans & Vic were ready (Hans went directly from Maroubra and Vic stayed at the hotel just in case) and we quickly put on our penguin costume (err.. i mean.. suit).
A few minutes later my mum arrived at our room with Stuart (the photographer) and after some quick make up (yes, we had make up done) we were set to go.
We took some photos around Star City while we waited for our cars to arrive at noon. Once the cars arrived we proceed to Balmoral Beach for another photo session. Y and I got a Vintage Jaguar Convertible while the rest of the bridal party got to drive around in a custom-made Jaguar strech limousine for the rest of the day.
By 3.10pm we arrived at the Church on time. Many thanks to everyone who’ve helped us to set up the church prior to us arriving. I think the church service went well. Surely there were a few things that didn’t go precisely according to plan but overall it was very quick and simple. So simple, that at the end of the service we were like .. “that’s it? gosh we’re officially married now.”
Because we weren’t scheduled to arrive at the venue until 7pm, we took more photos around Pyrmont area and finally arrived at the venue at 6:40pm via a special driveway that led to the bridal room escorted by the venue co-ordinator complete with CB radio. We felt like celebrities!
The rest of the evening was great. We enjoyed every bit of it. There were so much food that Y didn’t finish her dessert *gasp*, and to think that they gave her both desserts to indulge on.
We left Doltone House close to midnight and then transported back to Star City. We were also given complimentary strawberries and champagne by the hotel.
Saturday, 22 September 2007
The next morning we had to pick up all our presents that were left behind at Doltone House (they’re too big or heavy to carry to our room) along with the flowers, cards, our wedding cakes, and some other stuff.
We then returned the suits to Ferrari Formal and had lunch @ bondi junction with a few friends.
In the evening we feasted at Hurricane and blew the diet stuff we’ve been working on prior to our wedding day
As if we haven’t had enough, at home we finally got to taste our wedding cake. We ordered two flavours: Mango & Coconut and Passionfruit. I really like the passionfruit one although both flavours are nice. The cake is moist and not too sweet. The fruity flavour goes nicely with coffee *yumm*. If you didn’t get to taste our wedding cake, let us know. I think we still have some (hurry before we eat them all!).
So, what’s the most memorable thing for you from our wedding?

Wedding Photos
We’ve set up an online photo album so that you can share photos you took on our wedding day since we didn’t bring any camera with us
The photo gallery can be viewed at http://gallery.mac.com/trisnadi and you can see what others have uploaded and you can share your photos with us too.
If you prefer an easier way, simply send the photos to trisnadi-k3vm@gallery.mac.com. Your images will be automatically added to both online gallery and our iPhoto.

gCal: Repeat?
As I was updating my Google Calendar today I noticed this field. I think it’s quite funny.

Gift Registry
See, people have been asking us what we want as a wedding gift and honestly the things that we are planning to get are either too specific or too expensive
Since it is now a little too late to create a gift registry we decided to put up some items that we are seriously consider buying in the future (hint: toaster is not one of them). So if you still don’t have any specific idea how to extend your generousity, please proceed to the Wishlist section of this site.
Otherwise you are very welcome to help us with our Honeymoon fund to Japan

Wedding Prep Updates
Today is precisely 2 weeks until our wedding day and we’re busy taking care of all the nitty gritty. We really want a nice, simple and intimate wedding so you may not find the usual ‘over-the-top’ stuff. Instead we try to put most of our effort for things that our guests can enjoy
We also would like to use this opportunity to ask for your support in prayer:
- Our new life together as husband and wife
- Family and friends coming from interstate and overseas
- Weather on the day
- My dad who’s unable to come due to his medical condition
- Everyone who took part in the wedding

One month to go!
It’s exactly one month to go before we’re tying the knot!
We’re currently finalising the order of service and we’ve also made something for all our guests to write on during the wedding reception. I won’t tell you what it is. We think it’s quite unusual but fun (just like everything else about this wedding – trying to be different).
However we still have plenty on our plates that we have to do including:
- Dance lessons. We don’t want to look clueless on our bridal waltz
- Table arrangements
- Pre-wedding photos and location scouting. Can you recommend some nice spots?
- other nitty gritty stuff

Countdown
This morning someone asked us, “Hey, it’s only 5 more weeks to go before your wedding, right?” and our reply was, “is it???”.
I think some of our friends are concerned over our preparation because we seem so laid-back…hehehehe. Don’t worry guys, we’ll get there soon enough.

August is here
With just a little over a month to go before the wedding day we are trying to finalise every part of our wedding preparation. We’d like to thanks everyone for your support and words of encouragement.
Yoan’s application for leave has finally been approved.
Right now we’re looking for:
- Accomodation for our relatives who’d be coming from interstate/overseas
- Ideas for bucks night
- Flower Vases for church service (top opening must be at least 22cm)
- Ribbons

Flowers
Yesterday we met up with Ying to discuss what flowers to use for the wedding. As usual I was very indicisive but we finally came to an agreement. We’ll be using mainly tulips (my favourite!) along with a mixture of other flowers. I can’t tell you much because I don’t know what it’s gonna look like, but hopefully it’ll turn out great!
Something else to do with the number 3:
The flowers at the reception will be supplied by 3 different vendors.
