A Series of Unfortunate Events

Have you ever read the book or watched the movie?

I have my own version.
A couple of weeks ago, I found out that someone used my ID to open up a creditcard account.

And this week…
*Sunday – we almost lost our house key
*Monday – we definitely lost our car key
*Thursday – I was kept waiting for around 4 hours. No fun!
*Friday – accidentally dropped a bottle of hair moisturiser in the morning and it shattered to pieces. Do you realise how difficult it is to clean tiles from silicone-based moisturiser?

But wait, there’s more…
(to top it all off) my sandal broke just as I walked through the office door this morning. Lucky I keep spare shoes in my drawer.

Change of email address

Please note that yohana.setiono@exemail.com.au will no longer be available.

From now on, I’ll be using yohana[at]kurniawan.com.au as my home email address.

Everything else remains the same.

Note from Tris: obviously replace the [at] with an actual @ symbol – I did this to protect my wife from spam bots.

Merdeka!

Indonesian FlagToday we’re celebrating Indonesian independence day. Our bible study group planned to do “lomba makan kerupuk” which is closely tied to celebrating Indonesian independence day.

Unfortunately we were unable to make it today. Y has been sick for the past 2 days and really need to get some rest. A few people in my office was sick too. It seems that there’s some kind of virus spreading around. I say be very carefull especially if you take public transport to work.

Happy New Financial Year 07/08

I’m sick of working overtime! Last week, some of my colleagues and I worked Monday – Saturday 8am-8pm. Yesterday morning some of the big bosses came to the office to cook us breakfast, then our team worked like there’s no tomorrow. Well, it’s true in a way…because there’s a lot of changes happening on the 1st July and therefore we needed to complete all our work by 30th June. Unfortunately that didn’t happen (not our fault!), and so that’s for the managers to work out what to do next. By 3pm we were like zombies…I had an appointment at Doltone House at 4pm and I was hoping to go home after that, but my manager looked desperate for me to come back to work *duh!*. Most of the team went home by 6.30pm and there was only me, my colleague, a manager, and my boss’s boss left on our floor (he was actually waiting for me & my colleague. How nice…and funny…yet very annoying). I left the building at 7.45pm with a pile of work still to be done. Oh well :)

Today I’m just relaxing (still feeling exhausted) and trying to clean my place. We got our new mattress *yeeyyy* and now we’re just waiting for the bedframe to be delivered…hopefully within the next 2 weeks.

Back to work tomorrow!
