Cafe XXII, Birkenhead Point, Earth hour, and more…
What a Saturday! After a hectic post-Easter week we really looked forward to some relaxation.
12:30 PM – Lunch
We had lunch at Cafe XXII. I ordered my usual Calamari and while Y had the grilled fish and chips. Kenneth then joined us and he ordered the same calamari dish. He tried mine last time and I think it left a good impression on him
. We also noticed that they’ve improved the quality of the coffee served in this cafe. I highly recommend to drop by if you happen to be around Pyrmont area.
2:00 PM – Shop
We then headed to Birkenhead Point factory outlet to buy some gifts and ended up buying some stuff from Oroton and Kathmandu. It’s been a while since the last time we went there however, it still is a good place to shop for bargain items. We also went to David Jones food hall at Bondi Junction and browse around in search of chilli-infused olive oil like the one we recently had at at A Tavola restaurant. We didn’t find it but I bought Simon Johnson Olive Bruschetta for our Accapella practice this Wednesday.
8:00 PM – Earth Hour
We took part in this year’s Earth Hour by turning off all lights and most of electric appliance (exception was made for the fridge – everything else was off). Had a rather romantic candle-lit dinner
